The Cecilia Moy Yep Scholarship Fund was established in 1994 by the Asian American Women’s Coalition to recognize female Asian American high school students who have made a positive and lasting impact on our local community through their service and leadership. To kick off the Lunar New Year 🏮, AAPI Design Alliance X AAPI Unite co-hosted an intimate conversation at Asian Arts Initiative featuring 6abc Action News’ Christie Ileto and Paralympian silver medalist Maria Liana Mutia . The discussion explored inclusion, tech accessibility, and what it means to break barriers through design—on screen, in the workplace, and beyond.

Wellness before The Holidays
🌳 A day of grounding and relaxation at FDR Park, featuring a Vinyasa Flow led by Romana Lee Akiyama, a soothing Sound Bath with Eunmi’s Sound Healing & Yoga, and meaningful conversations on wellness and balance. Thanks to our sponsors—Friends of FDR Park, Mango Tree Counseling, and Clove—and all the volunteers who made this possible, proceeds went to support the Asian Mosaic Fund.

















Mid-Autumn Mooncake Making
with Philly Cookie Company and Philly Food Ladies
To celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, AAPI.Unite and Philly Cookie Company hosted hands-on mooncake and moon cookie baking classes at Far East Descendant. The event created space for fun, cultural appreciation, and delicious learning—with special thanks to Philly Food Ladies for showing up as proud allies of the AAPI community. Held in the heart of Philly’s Chinatown, the day was made even more memorable by the neighboring Mid-Autumn Festival hosted by PCDC and Asian Americans United

Women’s History Month Dinner
With Rice & Sambal
To celebrate Women’s History Month, AAPI.Unite brought together AAPI women entrepreneurs and supporters for a private dinner at Rice & Sambal. The evening featured an exclusive prix fixe menu by Chef Kiki Aranita, a James Beard finalist, with cocktail pairings by Vena Spirits. With space for shared stories and mutual support, the gathering honored the power of showing up—and the importance of lifting one another up.

Community and Collaboration
with Kampar Restaurant
Hosted in partnership with Kampar Philly, this one-night-only gathering brought together AAPI entrepreneurs and allies for connection, collaboration, and a powerful reminder that we build stronger when we build together. Guests joined happy hour workshops, shared food and drinks, and stayed for a five-course prix fixe dinner prepared by Chef Ange, Chef Reuben, and Chef Cote—their first-ever collaboration. Special thanks to The Hangry Dumpling for photos and Allen Tsui for capturing the energy on video.
